Spring 2004: After searching all over the property, this is it! "The tree of all trees!"
Lets get started! |
|
The support beams are in and a few boards to sit on.
Just about done, they built a ladder too!
The completed foundation
Very sturdy and well constructed. Nice job guys!! I hear walls are next! |
|
The next trip up, Mike and Ryan get back to business. The walls are starting to take shape
With the good weather and all of the rain we've had, the bugs are horrible! So the boys
finished up early to find something else to do for awhile
More to come, school is almost out!! |
|
The middle of June, and the walls are almost done!
A few more boards and it's time for the roof!
Looks really good boys! |
|
The roof is on! It will make a great hunting spot now that the area has been timbered off

Mike has always wanted to build a tree house. This year was the year! Mike and his cousin Ryan picked a monster wild cherry tree to build in, it has 5 main trunks to work from. Using some old wood from our deck re-build project, they constructed a dandy platform that would support a horse! Check out the second tree house too! |
