This is where the kitchen ended a while ago now it's time to start the hallway renovations
We put up some of the moldings then patched and painted the walls and ceiling
Here we started the hall floor
We would have finished sooner, but the crew had to take a break. Back to work.....
Finally, after about 5 hours of prep work and laying the floor we finished. This is the last bit of flooring to do in this house, kinda sad....NAW!
Oh..did I mention that we have to do some lights. While we're in there, can we finish that window too
Oh..... can we get those moldings up too? Here Carol primes the molding for the fireplace
With the moldings in place, caulked and filled, we painted the walls to continue from the kitchen.
With everything in the center of the room, we painted. When we finished, we noticed the cat, takin' it easy.
There she is, 'nesting' in the coil of air hose
Finally, with the room reassembled, we can get back to almost normal

We pause for a moment as our our hearts go out to the terrorist victims of 9-11 A tragic event that changed the world.

Done! What else could we possible do now!

What...the deck? When? Noooooooo

Well I've been promising rollout and a spice rack for years, so in the winter of 2003 we made some rollouts
And then we had to design some spice racks to hold the tons of spices that Carol cooks with. An interesting design that packs about 60 different spices in a 14" wide cabinet.
We used 1/4" Baltic birch, glued together to form drawers. We added some stainless steel welding rod for braces to keep things from sliding off.

They pull out on 10" over-extension drawer slides.

And as promised, I routed out the door panels to add seed glass inserts.
